Mr Sampson Adamu is set to arrive in Ghana for a three-day inspection of the preparation towards the 2018 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) later this year.

Mr Sampson Adamu is the Competitions Director for the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The CAF representative will arrive in the country on 6th June 2018. Venues for inspection are the Accra and Cape Coast stadia as well as training pitches and hotels chosen for the competition.

The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) competition starts on 17th November 17 to 1st December.

The inspection by Mr Sampson Adamu who is affiliated with CAF will be the second time the African football body has conducted that exercise to update itself on how the preparation is progressing.

The host nation of the competition was launched in Accra on Friday, March 23, 2018, where Sports Minister Isaac disclosed that the government has released an amount of $8 million to the Local Organizing Committee for the tournament.
