Ghana will be unable to host the WAFU Zone B Africa U17 Championships as earlier scheduled by CAF.

The West African state has been stripped off the hosting rights following government interference in the administration of the sport as a result of the rot discovered by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Niger has been the reserve as the new hosts but CAF will confirm or name a new host for the WAFU Zone B Africa U17 Championships in the coming days.

The tournament is a new format being employed by CAF to have all regional blocks duly represented in the U17 Championships.

CAF has introduced a new format, this will see only the winners of the regional tournaments qualify for the CAF U17 finals.
