U-20 Cup of Nations: Black Satellites striker, Arhin calls for support from Ghanaians ahead of tournament
Black Satellites attacker Frank Arhin, has called on Ghanaians to believe in the team despite recording unconvincing results in their pre-tournament friendlies.
The Black Satellites have been in Niamey, Niger the past two weeks trimming the rough edges for the start of the tournament.
They drew 1-1 with local side Sahel FC but before that, they got beaten 2-0 by hosts Niger.
Arhin is part of the foreign-based players in the team that is preparing ahead of the tournament.
Despite recording unconvincing results in pre-tournament friendlies, the Swedish-based Ostersund FK striker in an interview with Agyenkwa FM in Kumasi admits they've (Black Satellites) been poor in their friendlies but there have been improvements in their play.
"Our preparatory matches was not all that best as it expected but looking at our last match there was an improvement"
"Ghanaians should believe us and we are determined to qualify from the group and make it to the World Cup"
"We are training hard and listening to the coaches instructions and I believe we will come back home with something"
"Ghanaians should support us with prayers and need not to lose hope in us because we are really working hard and focused to make the nation proud as it happened years ago", he pleaded.
Ghana has been pooled in Group B together with Mali, Senegal, and Burkina Faso.
The tournament will be an opportunity for the Black Satellites to redeem their image following their poor showing in the U-20 WAFU Zone B championship held in Togo last year.
