Ghanaian striker Rahim Osmanu, who plays for Zesco United has sent a word of caution to Asante Kotoko that they have readied themselves for the final Group C match in the CAF Confederation Cup and come what may the Reds will return to Kumasi without a point.
The Ndola based team will welcome the Ghanaian giants on Sunday, March 17 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium at 4:00 pm.Â
Zesco United's chances of making it to the quarter-final of the competition were dashed when fellow Zambian team Nkana FC defeated them 3-0 last weekend in Kitwe.
However, Rahim Osmanu, says even though Zesco United is disappointed not to make it to the next series, they will defeat Kotoko to appease their fans.
"We approach every game with all seriousness so we are training and preparing for a win against Kotoko, although we won’t qualify even if we beat Kotoko but we are going to make our supporter happy," he told Happy FM.
"We want to beat Kotoko to bring the spirit and confidence of the supporters back to the team."
"We are playing to protect our flag. We are not going to play for Nkana FC because we are in the same country."
Rahim Osmanu further added that he hasn't lost hope of wearing the jersey of the Senior National Team although his name wasn't in coach Kwesi Appiah's 24-man squad to face Kenya. But his he is taking his training serious so he grabs the opportunity when presented with.
"I am hoping for a National team call up soon because I am ever ready to serve Ghana and this is the time."
