Asante Kotoko coach, C. K. Akonnor has struck a confident tone ahead of his team's clash against Nkana FC in Kitwe, Zambia on Sunday.

He told journalists at the pre-match press conference on Saturday, February 23 that he is planning a game in which his side would make fewer mistakes and dominate every area of the pitch and break.

Kotoko, who first went to Addis Ababa from Accra before heading to Zambia, are guests to Nkana FC at the Nkana Stadium on matchday three of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.

Akonnor and his players arrived in the Southern Africa country to a hospitable atmosphere from the hosts and he believes the conditions are right for a good game.

“We are here for serious business because we know that we have to get something away if we want to go to the next level. C.K Akonnor at the pre-match conference to Kotoko's game with Nkana”.

Nkana FC have not lost at home in any CAF inter-club competition in four decades. Asked if Kotoko's win over Zesco United, who also beat Nkana FC, could give an idea where Sunday's tie could go to, Akonnor answered in the positive.

“History will always tell you that Nkana FC have not lost (at home in continental football in decades), but history is always bound to be broken and we are here to make sure that happens”.

Asante Kotoko in their last 32 outings in African club competitions since 2002 have recorded 2 wins, 11 draws and 19 losses with 17 goals scored and 45 goals conceded

The Reds, like the other three in the group, is on three points after beating Zesco 2-1 in their second group game in Kumasi last weekend and Annan, in an interview with Kwese Sports said he would like the winning run to continue for Asante Kotoko.
