Ghana and Chelsea left-back Baba Rahman could secure a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer after impressing while on loan at Reims in France.

Rahman, still only 24, signed for Chelsea for £14million from Augsburg in 2015 and went on to make 23 appearances before being sent on loan to Schalke. He then suffered a cruciate ligament injury in 2017 while on international duty with Ghana that ruled him out for over a year.

Rahman though has worked hard on his fitness and has been rediscovering his form after coming through a tough two years.

He still has another year left on contract at Chelsea but could yet find himself joining another Premier League side with a number sending scouts to watch him in recent games.

Rahman is an attack-minded full back and several English sides are looking for cover and new options for that position this summer.

Chelsea will look to cut their losses though most of their recruitment plans are on hold as they await confirmation of their transfer ban. FIFA will rule on their appeal before the summer transfer window while they are also pursuing intervention through the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
