Christian Atsu cameos in Newcastle win over Bournemouth

Ghana International Christian Atsu emerged from the bench to help Newcastle United defeat Bournemouth 2-1 on Saturday in the English Premier League.

Atsu came on in the 80th minute to help Newcastle record their second win of the season after Bournemouth triumph at the Saint James' Park.

Rondon scored the opener after just seven minutes following great work by DeAndre Yedlin, who darted in behind the Bournemouth defence to set up the Venezuelan.

Rondon then doubled his side's advantage as he dropped deep to collect the ball before charging into the penalty area to meet Kenedy's cross with a powerful header.



Jefferson Lerma noded Ryan Fraser's cross to keep AFC Bournemouth’s hopes alive but the visitors failed to get the equalising goal.
