Commonwealth Games: Ghanaian sprinters Janet Amponsah, Owusu-Antwi fail to make finals

Ghanaian sprinters Janet Amponsah and Martin Owusu-Antwi failed to progress to the women's 200m and men's 200m final respectively in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

Janet Amponsah made a time of 23.67s, finishing 6th in the semifinal at the Commonwealth Games.

Janet Amponsah qualified for the semi-finals of the women’s 200m, finishing 2nd in the heats with a time of 23.66s.

Martin Owusu-Antwi

Martin Antwi also failed to make the finals of the men's 200m race as he placed 7th after making a time of 25.95s.

Martin Owusu-Antwi made it through to the semi-finals finishing second in his heat with a time of 21.02sec.

Hor Halutie had earlier missed out on a medal as she finished last in the Women's 100m and Ghana has not won any medal yet at the games.
