Following Croatia’s loss to England, Zlatko Dalic has congratulated the Three Lions and tipped them to glory noting that “it’s coming home soon”.

England got their revenge after Croatia eliminated them from the World Cup in the semifinal hurdle, after coming from a goal down to seal a UEFA Nations League semifinals slot. Croatia took the lead in the 57th minute through former Leicester City striker Andrej Kramaric but England dug deep to overturn the advantage with goals from Jesse Lingard and Harry Kane.

Dalic tipped the young English squad to hit greater heights and aimed a dig at them with the “it’s coming home chant”, “England showed at the World Cup, where they exceeded expectations, that they are coming through. They have a young and extremely fast team. So it’s coming home, very soon.”

The Croatian gaffer also lauded England for the victory, “I’d like to congratulate England on a deserved win. We didn’t play very well in the first half and were lucky to get in 0-0. To concede two set-pieces... in the end, that’s fair.”
