Egyptian club sack HIV positive Cameroonian striker 4 days after signing him

Cameroonian footballer Samuel Nlend who signed for Egyptian Premier League side Al Ittihad just four days ago has been sacked by the club after tests revealed he was HIV positive.

According to Egyptian news outlet KingFut.com, a media representative of the club confirmed the news to the press.

Nlend is regarded as one of Cameroon's brightest soccer prospects.He scored in January's Africa Cup of Nations tournament. 

A former player of Union Douala, the 21-year-old finished the last Cameroonian league season as the top scorer of his former club.
