EPL: Christian Atsu plays a part in Newcastle 2-1 win over Leicester

Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu helped Newcastle United to beat Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium in an English Premier League game.

The game which was played on Saturday, April 7, 2018, saw Newcastle score as early as the 18th minute.

Former Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvy made no mistake as he fired in a shot from the edge of the box which deflected into the Leicester net.

Newcastle carried the advantage into the second half and Coach Rafa Benitez brought on Christian Atsu in the 64th minute as he replaced Chelsea loanee Kenedy.

Ayoze Perez doubled Newcastle's lead in the 75h minute to make it 2-0.

Jamie Vardy pulled one back for Leicester in the 84th minute but Newcastle held on as the game finished 2-1.

Newcastle have climbed to 10th on the League log as Leicester remain 8th.
