Wolverhampton Wanderers have held defending champions Manchester City to a 1-1 draw on Match Day 3 in the English Premier League(EPL)

Willy Boly put Wolves in the ascendancy but Aymeric Laporte equalized for Manchester City with all the goals coming in the second half of the game.

The citizens dominated possession in the first half, created decent chances with Argentine international Kun Aguero coming close to scoring as he hit the post after a cross from Walker.

Raheem Sterling is the second Manchester city player to pose a threat to the Wolves defense as the England international produced a powerful strike outside the 18-yard box which forced Wolves goalkeeper, Rui Patricio to make a save.  Bernardo

The first half ended goalless at the Molineux Stadium.

The defending champions carried their front foot performance in the second half and still struggled to find the net.

Wolves, who played majority of the game on the back foot, opened the scoring in the 57minute as Willy Boly headed the ball into the bottom right corner from close range to make the scoreline 1-0.

12minutes later, Manchester City equalized as Aymeric Laporte planted a header home from a set piece to set the scoreline one apiece.

Man city

 Aguero thumped a powerful free-kick but the crossbar came to Wolves’ rescue as the scoreline remained 1-1 after the full-time whistle.
