Asante Kotoko is said to have extended the contract of winger, Emmanuel Gyamfi on a two-year deal according to reports in the garden city.

The 21-year-old’s contract expired months ago and was negotiating for a new deal.

However, reports went widespread that the pacey Wideman will be heading for the exit after failing to agree on a new deal.

But the diminutive winger has today 5 October 2018 penned a two-year deal which will keep him until 2021.

C.K Akonnor do not want to take any risk to lose his key player hence handing him a fresh deal to ward off interest from Clubs.

Gyamfi has been an integral part of the Kotoko team since arriving from Wa All Stars in 2016.

The midfielder was named in the 26-man squad for CAF inter-club competition but would have to shrug off competition from new recruit Maxwell Baako, Shafiu Abdul Fatawu and Kwame Boahene for starting a role.
