Chief Executive Officer of Bahmed Travel and Tours, Alhaji Ahmed Bandoh, is backing Fred Pappoe to ascend the throne of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) Presidency seat.

The GFA seat has become vacant since world Football governing body FIFA banned former President Kwesi Nyantakyi for life from all football-related activities due to a documentary which exposed corruption in the game.

In view of that, FIFA has constituted a Normalisation Committee with its core mandate to run the affairs of the FA, review the statues, and organize elections.

The embattled GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi is appealing the decision of his ban at the Court of Arbitration for Sports, CAS.

Alhaji Ahmed Bandoh, former board member of Asante Kotoko is optimistic that, although numerous candidates have shown interest for the GFA seat, Fred Pappoe stands tall amidst them.

“George Afriyie, Fred Pappoe, and Osei Kweku Palmer all have the pedigree to run the football association," he said on Happy FM.

“Among the three, I will choose Fred Pappoe. He has more experience and he is very knowledgeable. He is very realistic and has been in the system for long. He will take Ghana football to the promise land."
