The President of the Ghana Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (GBFA) Abdul Hay Yartey has arrived in Spain for the International Federation of Bodybuilding conference.
The three-day conference begins from November 9, to Sunday, November 11, 2018.
The IFBB World Bodybuilding Championship is currently on-going in Spain but Ghana was unable to represent athletes to the participate in the competition.
Speaking to sportsnetghana.com, Abdul Hay Yartey stated he is encouraged by what he has seen at the conference and hopes with the needed financial support, Ghanaian athletes will get the chance to participate in the World Championship next year.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s Cyrill Kofi Adja, by winning the Arnold Classic Africa 2018 in South Africa has become the first Ghanaian to win an IFBB ELITE PRO CARD and has made it into the IFBB BOOK OF THE YEAR
