Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a narrow 1-0 win over Ghana Premier League newcomers Eleven Wonders in the G8 tournament in Kumasi.
An Obed Owusu penalty in the 35th minute of the game was enough to give Kotoko their first win in the tournament.

The Ghanaian giants looked far from convincing but handed a couple of players their debuts, including new signing from Aduana Adams Wahab and Ghana under-17 goalkeeper Ibrahim Dan Lad.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will next face another newcomer, Dream FC, with Eleven Wonders squaring up with Premier League Champions Aduana Stars.
