Ghana could lose the right to host the Africa Women's Championship (AWCON) following government’s decision to suspend all football activities in order to sanitize the game.


Ghana is preparing towards hosting the African Women's Championship which was scheduled in November.

Unfortunately with the dissolution of the Ghana Football Association as well as the Injunction placed on the association following the rot discovered by the investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

It is likely that Ghana will be stripped off the hosting right should there not be a swift solution to resolve the crisis.

Ghana recently won the WAFU Zone B CAF has charged Nigeria, South Africa, and Cameroon to prepare as they monitor proceedings from Ghana's football crises.

The Black Queens performed well in the last Women's African Cup as they placed third, it will be a huge blow to Ghana Football if they are stripped off the hosting rights.

The government is speeding up things to avoid Ghana losing the chance to host the tournament as venues for the tournament are been renovated.
