Deputy Sports Minister for Youth and Sports, Perry Okudzeto has revealed Ghana's decision to bid for the 2023 All African Games.

The Deputy Sports Minister has confirmed that plans are being put in place to secure the right to host the competition.

According to Perry Okudzeto, the request has been submitted and all that is left is for permission to be granted.

“We are putting things in place to bid for the 2023 All Africa Games competition,” The Deputy Sports Minister spoke to the media.

“We have already submitted our request and hope it will be granted.

“We believe we have the capacity to host the All Africa Games having been able to host several other competitions such as the Cup of Nations and the rest.”

Ghana would be expecting to be given the right to host the competition which will be the first time in the country's history.
