Founder of Kumasi based King Faisal FC, Alhaji Grusah has strongly suggested that Ghanaian coaches should undergo training before handling any national team in future.

The dismal performance of the Black Satellites at the current U20 African Youth Championship in Niger where the team failed to progress to the next round has reportedly raised speculation on the criteria used to hire coaches.

In an interview on Happy FM’s ‘Wamputu Sports’, the GFA presidential hopeful, Alhaji Karim Grusah expressed his dissatisfaction with the way national team coaches are selected and stated that when he becomes the next GFA president, coaches who do not go for refresher courses will not be handed any national team to coach.

“When I become the GFA president, I will insist that coaches go for refresher courses before they can coach any team. Anyone who declines, will not be handed any team to coach,” Grusah said.

Alhaji Karim Grusah together with four others has so far expressed their intention to contest for the GFA presidency when nominations are opened by the Normalization Committee.
