Ghanaian midfielder Ebenezer Ofori is set to join Major League Soccer side New York City FC on a one year loan from German side, VfB Stuttgart.
The two clubs agreed on the deal last Friday with the player set to undergo a medical this week.
Alex Akummey, CEO of Ofori’s former team, New Edubiase, and representative of the player, confirmed the deal.
“Yes, he has agreed to join NYC FC for one year with an option to buy. He’s currently in Germany working on his US visa and will fly out for the medical as soon as it’s granted,†he told Citi Sports.
The 22-year old has only played 9 minutes of football this season for Stuttgart, after playing a key role in their promotion to the top flight last season.

Ofori made his debut for the Black Stars at the 2017 AFCON in the 3rd place playoff against Burkina Faso.
