The Normalization Committee in their efforts to return football in the country after football has been halted since June 2018 following the Anas Expose dubbed 'Number 12', designed the competition for teams in the National Women's League.

"We have all the committees for the competition in place and so far nobody has lodged any complaints. I am part of the referees committee and things are going on well," she told Happy FM.

"We have paid the participation of 7500 cedis to all teams and as the competition progresses, they will get the rest of the money promised them," she added.

Madam Odofoley Nortey hopes the tournament will produce players for the Black Queens for the WAFU Women's tournament.

"We are hoping to get players for the Black Queens for the Wafu tournament later in May. That is one of the main target of this competition," she said.
