The Ghana Olympic Committee president, Ben Nunoo Mensah has appreciated the effort of the government of Japan in supporting sports in the country.

The GOC President further implored the ambassador to assist the Amasaman Olympic project.

Mr Nunoo Mensah took the opportunity to inform the ambassador Tsutomu Himeno about his trip to Japan later this month for a programme.

He implored the GOC president to speed up the process of signing the memo on team Ghana’s base in Inawashiro, Japan for the upcoming 

He assured the GOC President of his availability for more meetings ahead of the Games in 2020.

The meeting is one of a high profile indoor discussions between the GOC chief and the Japanese embassy. The ambassador was delighted to host the GOC president.

Ghana will be participating in next summer's Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo, Japan in 2020.
