Communications director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Saanie Darra has praised the level of officiating in the Ghana Premier league, describing it as decent.
" Well I think officiating can always be improved, we had the opportunity to sanction some referees who made the wrong calls and also praised some who made the right calls, referee Samuel Sukah was criticised for awarding a penalty to Hearts of Oak against Kotoko but later it came out that he made the right decision so i think so far officiating has been decent."
The second round of the league is set to kick start this weekend with several interesting fixtures.
Saanie added that he believes the first round of the league which has ended was a success and is looking forward to a more competitive second round.
