Accra Hearts of Oak coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi has been fired  following a meeting with the board of the club on Monday.

According to footballghana.com, the Japanese tactician who also holds American nationality was officially informed of the decision on Monday's board meeting.

His sacking comes after just six months in charge of the Phobians and had been credited for reviving the fortunes of the Accra giants.

Hearts are fourth on the league table after the first round of the league with seven wins, five draws and three losses.

However a fractious relationship with the club's board looks to have forced the decision to sack the coach who was accused of not cooperating with the board of the club.

Kenichi went into the dark books of the Phobian management following his famous Facebook post claiming his backroom staff and players were owed salaries and winning bonuses.

The management sent signals of sacking of the former Aspire Academy trainer but the supporters kept kicking against the decision insisting the trainer has rekindled the team spirit.
