Deputy Sports Minister Pius Enam Hadzide says he knew the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo will reinstate him because he did not do anything wrong following the Australia Visa racketeering scandal.

President Akufo-Addo suspended Pius Enam Hadzide after he was alleged to have been incompetent in the visa racketeering scandal following the nation’s participation in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

President Akufo-Addo at the recently held NPP Delegate Conference in Koforidua talked about reinstating the Deputy Minister which took effect on Monday, July 9, 2018.

According to Pius Enam Hadzide, the President's decision of suspending him made him flabbergasted. But he was aware of the President’s willingness to eradicate corruption in the country.

“I knew I will be cleared off from all allegations because I didn’t do anything wrong, Pius Enam Hadzide told Happy FM.

“I was surprised when I got the suspension. I know President Nana Akufo Addo doesn't tolerate any act of corruption, so he will get to the bottom of the allegation,”

“I knew from day one that I will be cleared. I never doubted it. I didn’t do anything wrong and I trusted the police to do a great job which they have done,” he told Happy FM’s Odi Asempa Oware.

Puis Enam Hadzide also rubbished reports that he is not on good terms with Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah.

“I heard rumours suggesting that I am not on good terms with my boss, friend and brother Hon Isaac Asiamah.  There is nothing like that and I don't think anything as such will ever happen,” he said.
