A Business tycoon Alhaji Toffiq Mohammed has shown interest in buying former GFA Capo, Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi’s team Wa All Stars.

The renowned administrator is to stay away from the beautiful game for the rest of his life, according to a FIFA announcement on Tuesday, 30 October 2018.

Former Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has been banned for life from all football-related activities, world football's governing body FIFA has announced.

The development comes four months after the renowned administrator was captured in an investigative documentary engaging in corrupt and bribery activities by a renowned investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas dubbed 'Number 12'.

The ban, therefore, seizes the ex-GFA president from being the owner of the 2016 Ghana premier league champions.

Mr Taufiq believes that this is the right moment for him to pump money into football in order to ensure better raising and transfer of players.

In an interview with Agyenkwa FM in Kumasi, Mr Taufiq said he wanted to purchase Karela United after the demise of club owner David Brigidi before Nyantakyi's ban popped up.

''When I came to Ghana, I heard the news that Kwesi Nyantakyi has been banned by FIFA and for that, I decided to buy his club in order to help me raise and transfer players. Aside from being a businessman who deals in cars in Europe, I also have a strong passion for football.

"Initially, I wanted to buy Karela United and I've met the management, reached the apex and they will now come to conclusion as to whether to sell the club to me or not. But for now, I'm interested in the Wa All Stars team. Nyantakyi should name his price and I will buy the club only if I can afford the price''. He stated.
