All is set for the Black Stars of Ghana to take on Ethiopia in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Baba Yaya Stadium today.

Skipper of the National senior side, Asamoah Gyan would attain a legendary status if he scores in the game.

Gyan, who is on 49 goals for the country is eyeing a record 50 goals, to make him the nation's top scorer.

Coach Kwesi Appiah is expected to feature some new faces, especially the local players in the squad to face Ethiopia.

He would blend local players with foreign-based ones, with the aim of creating a formidable team that would be sustained for the future.

The Stars would be hoping to win their first game to ensure an easy qualification to the 2019 AFCON.

In the new football era where no team can be underestimated, it is expected that Ethiopia would give the host a tough time, but coach Appiah has indicated that he has got what it takes to surmount the pressure.

Fans from across the country especially Kumasi, would troop to the Stadium to cheer the Black Stars on to victory.
