Ghanaian defender, John Boye has joined French Ligue 2 side FC Metz after leaving Turkish side Sivasspor.


He signed a two-year deal, committing his future with the French second tier side until June 2020.

John Boye's contract expired at Sivasspor and did not renew.

The Black Stars defender spent three years at Sivasspor and returns to France.

"I have decided to sign for Metz in France as they have good plans that every player wants to be associated with," Boye told Ghanasoccernet.com

John Boye has joined MetzAfter playing for Turkish sides Kayseri Erciyesspor and Sivasspor, the former Rennes defender has now committed to the Grenats.

This is his second spell in France after joining Rennes in 2008 from Hearts of Lions.

This is the fourth signing for Metz in the off-season after Alexandre Oukidja, Laurent Jans and Marvin Gakpa, not to mention the signature of Mathieu Dossevi.
