Kenya thump Ethiopia 3-0 in AFCON qualifier

Kenya thrashed Ethiopia 3-0 at the Kasarani stadium on Sunday afternoon to keep their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Kenya have one foot in Cameroon next year following their massive victory over Ethiopia on Sunday.  The Harambee Stars have failed to qualify for an AFCON tournament since 2004.  The host controlled the game from the beginning to the end, looking threatening with every chance they got.  Michael Olunga opened the scoring for the home side in the 23rd minute with a powerful left foot shot from just outside the box after receiving a pass from Erick Johanna.    Johanna quickly doubled the home side's lead in the 27th minute with a nicely curled shot after he pounced on a loose ball.  Kenya did not give the visitors any space to operate with their sturdy defense.
