Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng emerged from the bench to earn a draw for US Sassuolo against Bologna on Sunday in the Italian Serie A.
Boateng, who sustained a muscle fatigue a week ago, came on as a substitute to score a penalty as US Sassuolo were held at home to Bologna.
The home side conceded in the 2nd minute through Rodrigo Palacio with a near-post finish but they restored parity in the 17th minute following a thunderous strike by Marlon.
Ibrahima Mbaye in the 56th minute sent the visitors in the lead for the second time in the game from close range.

Boateng replaced Federico Di Francesco in the 63rd minute and secured a point from the spot 5 minutes away from time.
The Ghanaian versatile attacker has scored four goals for the Neroverdi this season in the Italian Serie A.
