Kotoko appoint Akakpo Patron as assistant coach

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have appointed former defender Akakpo Patron as the new assistant coach of the club.

The club officially announced that the defender will now be the right-hand man for head coach Steve Pollack.

Akakpo was tipped to take over the youth team of Kotoko but has now been appointed the assistant of the first team.

The appointment of Akakpo means Godwin Ablordey will be relegated to his original position as the Team Manager of the club.
