Asante Kotoko Coach Steve Pollack is on his way to full recovery after walking for the first time on Monday following a successful knee surgery.

The English trainer got critically injured when Kotoko were involved in an accident on Wednesday at Nkawkaw  which injured several players and officials. The assistant equipment officer was killed

Pollack who has been on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital since last Thursday, moved around with the help of clutches at the ward. He hopes to recover fully in the next few weeks.

Speaking to  Asantekotokosc.com about his state, the coach said  "I got no broken bones. The only problem is my knee. I got the same operation 25 years ago so I know what it’s all about. By God’s grace I’m getting so well,''

“I’m not getting any pain from anywhere. I’m not getting any pain from the ankles. I’m well. Like I said, it’s very big thanks from the bottom of my heart to everybody. I thank everybody.''He added

Kotoko might be out of action for the next two weeks to enable squad members fully recover from the accident.
