Acting National Sports Authority (NSA) Director Majeed Bawa has said that both Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be responsible for the destruction of the 271 chairs by alleged Phobia supporters during the second leg of the friendly match.
Seven alleged Hearts of Oak fans broke some seats at the Green Stands at the Baba Yara Stadium when Hearts of Oak played against Kumasi Asante Kotoko over the weekend.
Each seat destroyed by the agitated alleged Hearts fans, confirmed by the National Sports Authority in Kumasi cost an amount of GHC 110.00.

The NSA added that the alleged Hearts fans will be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to other fans who will indulge in that bad practics.
“Those guys who were arrested were seen in action destroying the seats. So we want to use them as scapegoat. We are bent on prosecuting them to serve as deterrent to others who will do similar things in future.
“ We will also make both teams responsible for the destruction; we are charging hearts of oak and Kotoko because these two teams came together to meet us to release the place for them for their game and so if there is any problem we will have to ask these two teams to pay,†he told Starr Sports

Hearts of Oak lost by 2-0 to Asante Kotoko and 4-0 on aggregate to lift the Super 2 clash.
