18 players of the Local Black Stars have departed the shores of the Country to face Burkina Faso in a CHAN qualifier in Ouagadougou.
The team have been preparing intensively for the clash and have played series of friendly games.
Coach of the side Maxwell Konadu is confident the players will give their all to ensure that Ghana makes it to the tournament which will be hosted in Kenya next year, after missing out on the last edition.
The first leg will be played at the August 5 Stadium on Saturday 12th August.
The team will return to Ghana on Monday 14th August to resume camping in Kumasi for the 2nd leg at the Baba Yara Stadium on 20th August 2017.
Leading goal scorer in the Ghana Premier League, Thomas Abbey and skilful midfielder Winful Cobinna are all in the squad following their good form.
