The Local Black Stars of Ghana drew 1-1 with Benin in an international friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.
An early strike by Benin's Ogoulola Ibrahim was cancelled by Awal Mohammed's spot kick before the break.
Assistant coach Maxwell Konadu says the game was a good excercise for the players
" I think it has been a good excercise for the players because they need matches like this to really up their game, they only had six days to train but they gave their all in the game."
He however bemoaned what he described as the lack of "killer instinct" in front of goal, expressing hope the players will soon be a strong group to compete in the upcoming WAFU tournament.
