Manchester City has closed Chelsea’s 10-point lead on top of the league table to eight following a 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Monday night.

City are now second on the league table with 52 points while Chelsea remain on top with 60 points with the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal chasing the leading pack.

Raheem Sterling gave City the lead before an effort from Sergio Aguero who came on by virtue of Gabriel Jesus’ injury, found the second goal for Pep Guardiola’s men.

The injury however would be a big blow for Guardiola as his ‘darling boy’ had to be stretched off the pitch in pain.

The Brazilian limped off just 14 minutes into the first half and forced a replacement by Aguero who was delighted to come on as he has been denied games following the arrival of Jesus.

The EPL returns on February 25 with some exciting encounters as the chase for the ultimate intensifies especially for the top clubs.
