Asante Kotoko on Sunday evening defeated Storm Academy 2-0 as part of preparation ahead of CAF Confederation Cup tie against Sudanese's Al Hilal.
Poster Boy, Sogne Yacouba fed on Abdul Fatawu's pass to go one-on-one against Storm Academy's goalkeeper before shrugging off a challenge from an opposing player to hit into the middle of the net to give Asante Kotoko 1-0 lead to end the first half at the Baba Yara stadium.
After the recess, Yacouba combined again with Fatawu Safiu to set himself up against the Storm Academy keeper before shooting in from close-range to give Asante Kotoko a comfortable 2-0 win against the second-tier side.
The team will travel to Sudan this week ahead of their CAF confederation cup with 33 times champions of the country, Al Hilal for the Group C opener.
