All is set for the much anticipated Armwrestling National Open Championships to take center stages  tomorrow (Saturday April 22),at the Accra Sports stadium.
The Championship which is opened to both men and women between ages 18 to 40 would see teams from across the country participating for glory.

According to the President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation, Charles Osei Asigbey, individuals from the security services including, Police, Armed Forces, Fire Service and Customs would be competing in the national event.

He added that, there would be other participants from the tertiary level and individuals from all ten regions of the country competing to become a national champion.

He also expressed appreciation to sponsors for coming on board to invest in the competition and called for other corporate entities to come on board.

Some of the sponsors include,Kofikrom Pharmacy Ltd. Binatone Electronics, Awards Center, Uncle T Malt, Paradise Pac Mineral Water, Vita Milk, Henry's Inn Restaurant and Kasapreko Co. Ltd.

Guests from corporate groups, the entertainment industry, media and sporting fraternity would also be present at the event.

Sports Minister Hon Isaac Asiamah and adviser Dr Emmanuel Owusu Ansah are expected to be at the event as well as  GFA Vice President Mr George Afriyie, former GFA capo Lepowura MND Jawula and other federation Presidents.

Nana Ama Mcbrown, Funny Face, A Plus, Stephen Appiah, Abeiku Santana,Lily Mohammed, Frema Ashkar, Bridget Otoo, KABA, Andy Dosty and a host of other broadcasters would also grace the event.
