Nigeria coach Thomas Dennerby has heaped praises on the Super Falcons defensive display after their win over Cameroon on Tuesday.

Nigeria defeated Cameroon 4-2 on penalty shootouts to progress to the final of the 2018 Africa Women Cup Of Nations (AWCON).

However, Cameroon were the better team as the Super Falcons played the majority of the game on the backfoot at the Accra Sports Stadium.

According to the head coach, Nigeria's progression to the finals was because of their study defence.

“We defended very well against a good team and this is probably the reason why we went through today,” he said.

Nigeria will face South Africa in the finals of the 2018 African Women Cup Of Nations at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, November 1.
