Goalkeeper Richard Ofori, Andy Yiadom, Nicholas Opoku, Thomas Partey, Mubarak Wakaso, Afriyie Acquah, Asamoah Gyan, Bernard Mensah and Christian Atsu have all arrived for Ghana’s Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.

The nine players touched down in the country on Sunday night for the game against the Leone Stars.

Despite uncertainties surrounding the match which could be called off due to FIFA’s decision to ban Sierra Leone for government interference, the Black Stars players have honoured their invitations for the game as expected.

Fourteen more players are expected to arrive today to complete a squad of 23 for the game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday.

Coach Kwesi Appiah together with his technical team are already in Kumasi to begin preparations for the game.

Meanwhile the Sierra Leonean FA and government are expected to meet today over the latest impasse where they are expected to communicate their final decision to the normalization committee.
