Chairman of the Ghana’s Premier League Board, Ashford Tettey Oko says calls for more teams to be added to the premier clubs must be weighed carefully since other countries are attempting to reduce the number of clubs on their roster.
He cited the Italian Federation’s effort of reducing their 20 club league membership to 16 adding with the local league not securing sponsorship, any talk of piling up the number to 20 will only compound the hardships club owners endure.

Mr Oko rather called for investment in the league to make it attractive and for players to be well catered for.
