Asante Kotoko Policy Analyst, Yaw Amo Sarpong has confirmed that scouts from Sweden are interested in signing 8 players from his outfit.

The Porcupine Warriors scintillating performances in the CAF Confederation Cup has seen their image boosted leading to scouts poaching their players.

Amo Sarpong, speaking on Oyerepa FM in Kumasi disclosed that the rumours about the transfer of players are true but the Reds are interested in doing business only on their fringe players in order not to jeopardise their quest in winning this year's CAF Confederation Cup.

He further added that the club's teeming supporters will not forgive them if they are to let go of Maxwell Baakoh and Songne Yacouba.

"Scouts from Sweden were in Ghana and they gave us a list of 8 players they wanted but we can't give them such number" Amo Sarpong said.

"For Douglas Owusu Ansah and Abass Mohammed, they will be leaving soon for Sweden"

"But the likes of Songne Yacouba and Maxwell Baakoh are not leaving even though they have shown interest in them."

"We are ready to do business but not on our poster boys."

Asante Kotoko are set to take on Al Hilal Omdurman in the opening Group C tie in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday in Sudan.

The Porcupine Warriors will leave the shores of Ghana for Sudan on Thursday, January 31.
