The Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie has expressed concern about midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah’s recent injury asking that Ghanaians offer a prayer for the gifted star in this troubled time.
The player sustained the injury in Juventus’ match against Palermo and has been sidelined for 6 weeks missing Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Uganda to be played in Tamale.
Mr. Afriyie however expressed delight that Juventus FC were catering for him knowing the gem that he is.
He however regretted Asamoah's misfortune indicating he was in good spirits after his recovery and had made himself available for the Uganda match only for this injury to take him out again. He feared the psychological battle the player will be grappling with.
Asamoah has had 8 separate injuries in the last 3 years and had only recently started serious games after recouping from an earlier injury.
