The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, Dr Kwame Kyei, has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for relentlessly supporting the Porcupine Warriors in their Africa campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors are participating in the CAF Confederation Cup while the reformation of Ghana football goes on, they recorded their first victory in last Wednesday's tie against Zambian giants Zesco United at the Baba Yara Stadium.

In an interview with Kumasi-based Light FM, Kotoko boss, Dr Kyei thanked Ghanaians for their support and further called on them to put club affiliations aside as the Reds go in search to bring the lost glory back.

"First of all, I want to thank all the supporters, Ghanaians and everyone for their unflinching support."

"I have already said that the Lord will help us win this CAF Confederations Cup and celebrate at Baba Yara Sports Stadium to the glorification of the Lord."

Sogne Yacouba's goal drought has become a topical issue in the football circles with sections attributing his drought to a magical spell cast on him. Dr Kyei, however, believes the Burkinabe import who has registered 5 assists in 6games in the Confederation Cup is not under any spell and he will find his goal scoring boot soon.

"I have never dreamt of seeking the support of Juju from anywhere. There's no black magic anywhere, we should learn a little bit, God is the ultimate so he truly deserves the praise and commendation."

"Nobody has done anything to Songne Yacouba, if this keep on repeating and get into the head of the player it will affect the player and will not help the course of the player and the club at large."

"May the good Lord keep blessing the supporters and I thank them for their enormous support. They should keep it up and definitely, the sky will be the limit."
