Burkinabe and Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker, Songne Yacouba has won the Kotoko player of the month of May.
The striker put up some splendid performances for the Porcupine Warriors in the Zylofon Cash Premier League.
The Burkinabe import beat off competition from goalkeeper Felix Annan, defender Wahab Adams and winger Emmanuel Gyemfi after a poll conducted on Social Media. Yacouba pulled off 71% of the vote by the fans of the club.
His displays has allowed Kotoko to go on a four-match unbeaten run and he scored three goals in the month of May.
The 26-year-old was the hero as Kumasi Asante Kotoko ended the first round of the Ghana Premier League in style scoring a brace in the 2-1 victory over Champions Aduana Stars.
