Emmanuel "Game boy" Tagoe has retained his IBO Lightweight belt after stopping Fernando Saucedo in the 10th round at the Bukom boxing arena in a bout on Saturday 27th January.

The referee controversially stopped the bout in the 10th round.

Saucedo hit the canvas from punches to the back of his head which is illegal in boxing.

However, the referee stopped the fight and awarded a technical knockout victory to Tagoe.

Saucedo visited the canvas twice in the second round but complained a lot to the referee that Tagoe was throwing illegal punches to the back of his neck.

Emmanuel Tagoe now remains undefeated in 28 bouts.
