Thomas Partey has signed a three-year contract extension with Atletico Madrid until 2022.
Partey, 23, joined Atletico as a youth player in 2011 and following loan spells with Mallorca and Almeria the defensive midfielder has broken into Diego Simeone's squad over the past two seasons.
Following the announcement,Partey said: "I am very happy with my new contract and grateful for the faith shown in me.
"I have always been very fond of this club and I want to keep on developing at Atletico. I will give everything for this club."
Partey, who has made 31 appearances for Atletico in total, was also a member of the Ghana squad that finished fourth at this year's African Nations Cup.
