English Premier League giants, Chelsea have finally loaned out Ghanaian defender Abdul Baba Rahman on a six-months loan deal with French outfit Stade Reims.

Abdul Baba Rahman has been a part of the Chelsea first team but has been unable to win the competition to break in for a starting role.

Since joining the West London side in 2015 for a fee of about £14 million, Abdul Baba Rahman has not been able to make a name for himself as he continues to go down the pecking order.

Under former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, Abdul Baba Rahman had 23 appearances under his belt but that never happened under Italian boss Antonio Conte at the Stamford Bridge.

Abdul Baba Rahman spent most time away on loan during the reign of the former Italian boss and that is still unchanged under the current boss Maurizio Sarri. The former Napoli boss has not got Abdul Baba Rahman in his plan which is why he has handed him the opportunity to secure playing time and have a first-team football elsewhere.

The former Asante Kotoko defender has spent most of his career in Germany has 24 caps for Ghana.
