Black Satellites of Ghana exited the Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations following a 1-0 defeat against Mali on Saturday at the Stade General Seyni Kountche in Niamey.

Ghana lost its last Group B match to end their dreams of making it to the FIFA U-20 to be held in Poland this year.

Mali who finished second in Group B with 6 points snatched the three points in the 53rd minute courtesy of Hadji Drame wonder goal.

Jimmy Cobblah's side needed a win or a draw to stand a chance of making the last four and qualifying for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland but they were denied by Mali who needed the maximum points to confirm their place.

Ghana finished third on the Group B log with three points with Senegal topping the group followed by Mali.

Nigeria, South Africa, Mali as well as Senegal have booked their place in the last four and the World Cup in Poland.
