Usain Bolt beats Ronaldo, 4 others to win record 4th World Sportsman of the Year Award

Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt on Tuesday won the World Sportsman of the Year at the Laureus Awards for held in Monaco in France.

The sprint king beat Cristiano Ronaldo, Mo Farah, Andy Murray, Stephen Curry and LeBron James to the Sportsman of the Year award.

Having previously won the award in 2009, 2010 and 2013 Bolt joins tennis greats Roger Federer and Serena Williams as the people to have won the award on four occasions.

Other winners for the night included American gymnast, Simone Biles who won Sportswoman of the Year, and Formula One world champion Nico Rosberg who won the Breakthrough of the Year award after beating Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton in the drivers' championship.
